I once read a caption concerning art itself: "Art Will Not Hurt You!" I imagine such a statement came about because art sometimes scares people; scares them because it mirrors places--both dark and beautiful--within themselves that have either been denied or remain yet to be discovered. So art may not "hurt" but it can change us. And I find your work to have that transforming power for me.
